Hypothetically speaking — if a company had a large amount of audio content pre-recorded and wanted to make it available to their website visitors, the process could quickly grow to become somewhat complicated.
Where will the files be hosted? How will the public listen? Are my recordings protected?
As one might imagine, a lot of questions come up when tackling a task as large and domineering as setting up large amounts of audio on a website.
In today’s posting, we will take a large amount of that load off of our readers’ shoulders with several quick and easy-to-implement tools found within their AudioAcrobat accounts.
I have A LOT of content. How do I get it online?
In a previous posting, we dove deeply into the subject of uploading audio files for musicians. Check it out HERE. In effort to keep things rolling along, our readers will find some quick upload instructions below:
1. Login to your AudioAcrobat account
2. Click the blue “Audio” tab
3. Click “Create New Audio”
4. Click “Upload Audio Files”
Decisions, Decisions …
Once the content has been uploaded to the account our readers will be publishing from, it will then be time to make a crucial decision: How to publish the content?
Publishing Options:
- Playlist (Stream)
- Single Audio (Stream / Stream + Download)
- Download Only
- Podcast / RSS
Let’s take a closer look at the Playlist (Stream) option, shall we?
Playlist (Stream)
This option is extremely helpful for setting up an atmosphere most like an Online Radio Station. What do you say we get started with some quick steps for creating and publishing a Playlist?
1. Login to your AudioAcrobat account
2. Click the blue “Playlists” tab
3. Click “Create New Playlist”
4. Select/Add/Program Audio Content
5. Click “Save New Playlist”
Playlist already created? Let’s publish!
Make sure you’re logged in to your account and …
1. Click the blue “Playlists” tab
2. Click the title of the Playlist you wish to Publish
3. Click “Publish Playlist”
4. Click “Publish for Website”
5. Select/Customize Player
Once our readers have selected their player, they will be on a page labeled, “Generating HTML Code – Step 1“. Here are where further customization options can be selected including Player Style, Size, Color and more. When ready, click “Generate HTML Code“.
Here, our readers will be able to highlight and copy the HTML Code for their custom player.
This code can be pasted anywhere HTML code (containing iFrames) is accepted, including Websites, Landing Pages, Blog Posts, HTML Newsletters, AudioNotes & more … most importantly, it is the one piece of code that will set our readers apart from their previous, non on-demand Online Radio Station having selves.
Those who have braved the jump will be on the fast-track to generating more site traffic and keeping visitors around longer.
