What is more beautiful than knowing that people around the world are hanging on the edge of their seats while listening to your Podcast? We believe that knowing that there’s always more of ’em out there just waiting to discover your show … and that there’s a quick and easy way to drastically increase your outreach which doesn’t involve Googling or sending an email meets the qualifications.
If you’ve already created your Podcast, perhaps even syndicated to iTunes, and are looking for an easy way to get your Podcast placed in over a dozen other News, Blog, Podcast & RSS Directories, you’re in the right place.
In today’s posting, we will show our readers how to quickly and easily enable syndication of their Podcast to over a dozen Directories … without ever leaving the comfort of their AudioAcrobat account!
Quick Steps:
1. Login to your AudioAcrobat account
2. Click the blue “Podcasts” tab
3. Click the title of the Podcast you wish to Syndicate
4. Click “Edit Podcast”
Expanded Steps:
Login to your AudioAcrobat account
Click the blue “Podcasts” tab
Click the title of the Podcast you wish to syndicate
Click “Edit Podcast”
While on the “Editing A Podcast” page, our readers will see many different facets of their Podcast which can here be edited. For today’s posting, we will skip to the bottom of the page and the “Syndication” section, as seen below.
Many members have inquired as to the different Directories which are pinged on behalf of our members who enable Syndication of their Podcasts, and we are happy to share our current list right here via our WordPress Weblog!
Most directories accept “pinged” submissions, while others (like iTunes) require a manual submission in order to be listed in their Directory.
The Directories listed below have all indicated that they accept “pings”, and will be provided your Podcast RSS Feed URL upon the enabling of Syndication:
Weblogs.com
Blo.gs
Technorati
Feed Burner
Syndic8
NewsGator
My Yahoo!
PubSub.com
Blogdigger
BlogRolling
BlogStreet
Moreover
Icerocket
News Is Free
Just one more click and all of those Directories will receive your Podcast as a “ping”, and will choose to approve/decline your feed from entering their database. Most auto-approve, and a good way to check if your Podcast has been added is to go to their site and perform a search for the title of your Podcast. But before anyone’s going anywhere … finish up your work by pressing the magical, candy-like “Save Changes Now” button just beneath.
Looking for other places to Syndicate your Podcast? We’ve found a couple lists that we like a lot … such as the ones over at MasterNewMedia.org, Podcast411.com and PodcastingNews.com. Any of those will keep even our most devout readers busy submitting for a good 48-72 hours, guaranteed.
