Have you ever had the need to create a simple yet effective Website or Landing Page but couldn’t pull it together fast enough? Did that great idea escape you while you moved onto the next step in the daily grind? We believe that it would be much simpler if each great idea out there were to become a reality for its originator … which is why we are working to provide each and every one of those great ideas a safe passage from their originators to their AudioAcrobat accounts and out onto the web in a timely fashion.
In today’s posting, we will take our readers through the steps of forwarding their custom registered domain name to an AudioNote, which will allow all of the Web traffic visiting your custom domain to be redirected to your AudioNote hosted with AudioAcrobat … a very handy solution for Product Launches, Landing Pages, Promotions & More!
Note: If you haven’t yet created your AudioNote, please read this first.
Quick Steps:
1. Acquire AudioNote URL
2. Login to GoDaddy account
3. Launch “Product Dashboard”
4. Click “Forwarding”
Expanded Steps:
Login to your AudioAcrobat account
Click the blue “AudioNotes” tab
At this time, our readers will be on a page titled, “My AudioNotes“, where their list of AudioNotes will populate.
There are several methods of obtaining your AudioNote URL, and the easiest (by far) is to right-click the green “View” button to the right of each AudioNote’s entry as seen below.
After right clicking (and depending on your Internet Browser) you’ll want to make the selection to copy the underlying URL; which is sometimes labeled “Copy Link Location” (Firefox), “Copy Shortcut” (Internet Explorer), “Copy Link” (Safari) or something very close to this type of phrasing.
Step 1 accomplished. Now over to GoDaddy in a new tab or window.
Login to GoDaddy account
Launch “Product Dashboard”
Click “Forwarding”
Here you can enter your AudioNote URL with a simple “Paste” command (right-click, “paste” or ctrl-v on PC and command-v on Mac). Press “Save” to confirm your changes and as GoDaddy notes, “Forwarded domain names can take up to 24-48 hours to become active.” In our experience, it usually happens much quicker, but please do heed the warning before attempting to come to a resolution.
Now that we’ve taken our readers through the steps of forwarding their GoDaddy domain name to an AudioNote, which effectively sends all of the Web traffic visiting our readers’ custom registered GoDaddy domains to their AudioNotes … as stated earlier, this is a *very* handy solution for promoting your product or service on the web, via mobile devices, email, social networks, blog posts and anywhere else anyone can click on your link(s).
Which brings us to our closing mantra … What are you waiting for? Start creating your newest AudioNote and spice it up with a custom domain name for your new Product Launch, Sample, Giveaway, Event Update, Personal, Private or Worldwide Message — and remember — If your audience can’t hear you talking, why would they bother to listen in the first place?
