Not since we started nine years ago in 2004 have we had such a major telephone service development to announce!
What is this major telephone service announcement you ask? On Thursday, January 17th, 2013, AudioAcrobat has moved away from the PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) provided by AT&T, which has serviced all of the phone recording needs of our members for almost a decade, to a worldwide VoIP network!
Why are we so excited about this transition? We’d LOVE to share our reasons with you:
- As mentioned above, we have moved away from the traditional PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network). This is the cave where all the gatekeeper trolls like AT&T lurk. In the cave, one must play by the troll’s rules or be eaten alive and cast down into “Forever Forgotten Land”. No more ball and chain, folks. Liberty is at hand!
- Our brilliant programming team has developed, from scratch, what we like to call “The Road to Nirvana”. AudioAcrobat now has its very own worldwide VoIP network!
- This transition brings with it a fully digitized foundation for some really cool forthcoming features, such as a built-in conference call system and one click call recording. Our programming team has even hinted at an in-call pause functionality during recording, along with a system-wide improvement to cell phone and third-party VoIP interoperability, which is something the trolls have made very difficult for us! Our programming team didn’t, however, mention anything about a way out of the Matrix…bummer, right? That would be so cool!
- Implementation of the New Phone System WILL NOT affect any published Players, Links, or Podcasts, nor will it affect your ability to upload any tasteful anti-troll Audio/Video propaganda or record said propaganda using the Audio/Video Web Recorder! You will also be able to publish to our FREE WordPress Sites without any worry of the troll getting in your way!
Thank you for taking the journey with us into 2013 and we’re looking forward to serving you for a long time to come!
