The #FollowFriday Series highlights today’s up-and-coming, active and all-around noteworthy Twitter accounts the AudioAcrobat staff deems worthy of following; while at the same time peering deeper into the soul(-cial media) of each account and providing a brief-yet-informative analysis.
Welcome back for the thirteenth #FollowFriday tweet / WordPress mashup of 2012 here on the AudioAcrobat Weblog!
After reviewing all of which today’s featured #FF twitter account has to offer, it is becoming more and more apparent that mobile developers should be taking a much closer look at this tiny (600kb) SDK, which runs on a single line of code and allows for inter-app communication, cross-promotion and support, amongst many other intertwining and intuitive feature sets.
In today’s post, we will dive deeper into the Tweets of NYC-based startup, Appboy (@appboy) and the Twitter accounts they have chosen to follow … a mirror, if you will, into the soul(-cial media) behind a company who has announced Hootsuite CEO and co-founder Ryan Holmes to its board of advisors.
Yep. That’s right, we just said it … “soulcial media”. We also said “a company who has announced Hootsuite CEO and co-founder Ryan Holmes to its board of advisors” in the same sentence. Yes, we see your eyebrows begin to raise.

More about Appboy
Appboy is a mobile SDK that helps developers increase downloads, boost app usage and connect with their users. Mobile developers plug the Appboy SDK directly into their apps. Users interact with a beautiful interface to game mechanics providing checkins, badges, levels and per-application elite statuses. Behind the scenes, the SDK collects valuable usage data that power app recommendations and enhance outreach.
